Andre Rieu is a Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer best known for creating the waltz-playing Johann Strauss Orchestra.

Johann Strauss II was an Austrian composer, known as “The Waltz King”, and was largely responsible for the popularity of the waltz in Vienna during the 19th century.

The Blue Danube is the common English of An der schonen blauen Donau (German for On the Beautiful Blue Danube), composed in 1866.
